About this Bright Light

Chris LaMartina is the Director of Verbal & Visual Storytelling at A. Bright Idea. A passionate creative professional, he has produced and directed video content in Baltimore, MD since 1999. With a keen focus on pairing compelling stories with energetic visuals, he has established a unique artistic voice in both the commercial ad world and traditional film production—directing eight feature films to date. His expertise in viral marketing as well as high concept writing has led to strong media coverage by the New York Times, National Public Radio and MTV. In 2016, he was selected as one of the inaugural Shudder Labs fellows by AMC Network.

When he's not crafting commercial video content, Chris LaMartina is either teaching screenwriting at Towson University, working on new exhibits for his oddities museum (Dr. Gloom's Crypt of Curiosities, located in Federal Hill), or playing drums in a punk rock band. Somehow able to fit more hours into the day, Chris has directed eight feature length horror films and recently turned his shed into a tiki bar. He is available for parties.
