Anita A. Brightman, APR

President and Founder

Anita's creative and personable approach to advertising and public relations coupled with her sound judgment and solid verbal and visual communication skills provide the foundation for A. Bright Idea.

Anita began her career as a public affairs specialist for Science Applications International Corporation, working on a government contract for the U.S. Army's Chemical Demilitarization Program. She continued to support the project through a relationship with Booz, Allen & Hamilton before launching A. Bright Idea in 1996. She continues to support the project today, as a subcontractor for URS Coleman.

A. Bright Idea built a strong clientele outside of the government arena and Anita's innovation earned accolades for verbal and visual communication pieces from the League of American Communication Professionals Spotlight Award, the Summit Creative Award, and the Public Relations Society of America's Award of Excellence, The Communicator Awards and The MarCom Creative Awards.

Known lovingly as "Martha" to friends and family, Anita enjoys entertaining, cooking, and thumbing through creative or food and wine magazines. Anita welcomed her husband, T.J., to the staff in August 2005 to help build the sports marketing and sponsorship division of the business. Their daughter, Madison, likes to help out around the office, while son Parker prefers to entertain the staff with his Buzz Lightyear antics.
